Electric Appliances

Electric appliances have developed greatly as technology has become more and more prevalent in today's society. Large appliances, such as washing machines, refrigerators and microwave ovens, have become more technically advanced and have made everyday routines easier to deal with. Technological developments have also made an impact on smaller electric appliances, such as electric toothbrushes, vacuums, and coffee machines. Electronic gadgets are also being influenced with new technology and this is being seen mostly in mobile phones. But one area where technology is making a huge impact is with television sets. The Samsung 42 inch TV is just one example of how television viewing is changing at a rapid pace.

The original television sets where CRT (cathode ray tube) models, but are being phased out quickly by this new digital technology. The Samsung 42 inch TV uses a LCD display, or liquid crystal display, in a flat panel display unit. Some of the major features of this new technology of the Samsung 42 inch TV are lightweight construction, its easy portability and the ability to produce screen sizes that are much larger than its predecessor, the CRT unit. This new technology has become so popular that these LCD televisions, like the Samsung 42 inch TV, are out selling the CRT units. With these fast paced changes in technology, it is assumed that in the near future, those CRT television units will no longer be produced and LCD units, such as the Samsung 42 inch TV, will be the new way to watch television.
